Sunday

QA: Makan-Makan (8)

On Friday, we had a makan-makan session at one of our colleagues' apartment, KM. The function was organized by Malaysi4ns working with QK company. Among the delicacies were Sot0 Ay4m, Mee K4ri and B-B-Q lamb chop and chicken wings. The Mee Kar1 was soo good.. better than the one at N0shi-N0shi, Dub4i. :-)

The plan was to have an outdoor B-B-Q, however, for the whole day, D0ha was blanketed with the sand/dust, so we have to halt the plan. Instead, all the lamb chop and chicken wings were grilled using the oven.

Coincidently, the function day was also MR's birthday. The hubby, AI has requested us to have a surprise for his wife. The couple shared another good news with some of us (I thought of having it announced using the loudspeaker, but the couple politely declined it) - in eight to nine months time, they will be having their first baby! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The turn out was as expected, around 25 people. Met few new people, so it sort of achieved the original objective of getting to know more new people :-)

Enjoy some photos......

QA: Makan-Makan (8)

Over the weekend, we had another BBQ. Same place as the previous week, but much smaller scale. Instead by the pool, we had this at N's villa. This time, in my opinion, was a bit "weird". Myself, Zal and SK are considered as one team and we can only invite five people. At the so-called "By Invitation Only" party, we found out the actual reason why this BBQ was held... &#%$@&*@%# apparently, the host has put a condition on the guests i.e., prefer "certain group". What type of host is this? I told Zal if this host wants our help again in preparing the food, forget it, I am not going to do it. All the meat/chicken for BBQ were marinated by Zal and I did the fried rice noodle. In fact, all the main dishes were prepared and cooked by us.

I am very very dissapointed.

Sunday

QA: Makan - Makan (7)

Joint-organized with my other friends in D0ha for a BBQ by the pool. It was planned for around 40 people, however, in the eleventh hour, we received a news that one of our friends with U E M (B0boi) is leaving for good. So, we decided to turn the gathering into the farewell party forhim as well.

We had chicken and beef terriyaki, lamb chop, cajun chicken for BBQ, fried bihun, fried rice, nasi himpit (again) :-)) and some snacks. Most of the guests are B0boi's friends working with "Taking u > personally" airlines....

Friday

QA: B B Q

Zals was invited by his U E M friend to go to the BBQ by the beach somewhere near the Diplomatic Club. I was reluctant to go, but since Zals insisted, I agreed to drive him there.

There were 11 of us and the area was full with Ar4b families and some Ar4b youngsters in 4WD... Wonder whether these youngsters have the driving licenses or not. They look so young, just like our lower secondary school kids....

We were expecting more people to turn up (according to the organizer) for the B B Q, however, due to the transportation issue, only us can made it there. Out of 11, only two girls there - both working at Gamud4 and two Filipino with K P M G Doha. Others were Malaysians....

Me, being more than two years in Doha, have not met any of these Malaysians... see how bad my PR skills are.. Just look at Zals, only being here for two months, his circle of friends expanding exponentially day by day :-) Well, good or him since he will be here longer than me..

Just enjoy the photos... more photos are in my
fotopages.

Am bored... Tonight, my cousin invites me for a BBQ at her new house. Maybe I drop by after Maghrib.
