MY: Selamat Hari Raya
Today is the 1st Syawal in Malaysia. And the second of Eid day in Qatar. When will the Muslims unite if they cannot even uniformize the celebration of Eid... And because of this as well, my Ramadan for this year is 31 days...
The truth about Eid Fitr celebration for me is -> I don't like it. Deep inside me, I always feel nervous during Eid day. It always the same for many years... and I hate it. Morning, after prayer, I will be at home, waiting for my cousins to visit me as they always do. Then, I will go to their houses to meet their parents (my aunties). Then to my late maternal grandparents' graves, my uncle's grave and my younger brother's grave. On the way back, I will stop by my relative place next to cemetary. Back home, have a shower and drove with my family to my paternal grandmother's house 40km to the south. Had dinner there and drove back home and went to bed!
It has been a routine for me during Eid Fitr for the last few years and I hate it! Not that I hate meeting them but the routine... it is boring! I wish I could change... I wish...
